Benefits and Learning Objectives
IOSH Managing Sustainably is an awareness course designed to help managers and supervisors build a more sustainable organisation by focusing on people, culture, and occupational safety and health (OSH) management. The programme explores how improving workers’ welfare and wellbeing supports stronger performance, better engagement, and long-term social sustainability.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand what “human capital” means and why it matters to organisational sustainability
- Recognise how OSH management supports social sustainability, culture, and long-term business success
- Identify practical ways to improve wellbeing, fairness, and engagement in the workplace
- Understand how a positive people-first culture can strengthen reputation, retention, and productivity
- Develop an action plan to apply learning to real improvements within their organisation
